Dear brethren and friends in Christ,

The Nascimento family wishes you a truly Merry Christmas
and that Emmanuel will be with you throughout 2019!

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel”
(which means, God with us).
(Matt 1.23 ESV)

* Keep praying for our discipleship and evangelistic efforts.
Praise God we had a very large group teaching the Book of Proverbs.

* Last night (Sunday 23), I think we had our best Christmas presentation ever!
We had three different generations of Sunday school students on the stage. It was superb!
Pray for our church and our children.

* Thank you for your faithful prayers on our behalf.

October 1st, 2018

Dear friends in Christ,

With joy and concern we share some prayer requests with you:

* It was refreshing to see many friends (from San Antonio and Abilene) during the Missionary Summit offered by OHC. It was also arenewal to attend the spiritual retreat for the missionaries and learn more about Abiding in Christ. Thank you to OHC Global Outreach team, those who hosted me, and many those who treated me so well!

* This week Dennis and I hosted another ILI seminar (International Leadership Institute).
We had participants from the Amazon to the South of Brazil.     It was uplifting!

* In a couple weeks I will start new classes at the Escola da Bíblia
The Book of Proverbs (favorite!), Old Testament Survey and English as an evangelistic effort.
In our church I will start teaching Ecclesiastes next week.
Please, pray that these classes will bring people closer to Christ.
Also add our discipleship groups and personal evangelistic studies.

Visit the Escola da Bíblia’s webpage (in English): https://www.bibleinrecife.com/   and

* Next weekend is presidential election in Brazil and the temperature is hot!
People in general are very hostile. I’ve never seen Left and Right so clearly positioned.
Please pray we will elect men and women who truly care for Brazil.

Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a reproach to any people.
-- Proverbs 14.34

April 4th, 2018

Dear friends and brothers,
Once again we bring you some prayer requests for your quiet time before the Lord. Praying for us is the best way you can support our ministry.

 ·         Hannah and Giselle arrived last February and they are both doing very good. Thank you so much for your prayers throughout their missionary apprenticeship in Bolivia. We ask you continue praying for them as they go through reversal cultural shock.

·         Pioneer Bible Translation (https://pioneerbible.org/) offered a seminar called Discovery here in Recife area. Discovery was a great opportunity to find and meet people who have a heart formissions, mainly for translating the Bible.

·         After Discovery, our family had the opportunity to host one of PBT’s veteran missionaries—Marsha Martin.    It was a tremendous blessing to host someone who has so much experience in life and in missions. Let’s pray that the Lord of the harvest may lift up more missionaries with a heart like Marsha’s.

·         I am teaching almost every day of the week. Pray that more than just passing knowledge, God is using me to pass his transforming Word.

·         Pray for my evangelistic contacts, that they may bear good fruits.

·         Last but not least, pray hard for the political atmosphere in Brazil which is getting very hostile from both left and right wing. Today ex-president Lula is being judged (again!). At the end of the year we have presidential election and he is the main candidate.
